Frankincense

Frankincense and elemi over myrrh, ending on amber in a resinous oil.

Elemi opens frankincense with a peppery, citrus-like brightness, and myrrh gives the heart a dark, bitter sweetness. Frankincense stays through to the base, where amber wraps it in resin. Resin and smoke lead throughout, kept dry by the amber. A smoky oil for men and women in autumn and winter, for evenings and special occasions.
